On Monday 29th February the year 4 children went to Wells Cathedral as the first part of their transition activities. They took part in the opening and closing worship – Jessica was an acolyte, meaning she was dressed in white robes and lead a procession carrying a big candle. We also took part in different workshops. One was a drama workshop where we played a range of different drama games and created 3 freeze frames which showed different stages of our pilgrimage. Then we did a craft workshop where we made a pilgrim’s shell using decopage. Finally, we had a tour of the cathedral and made a pilgrim’s shell box. We all had a very good day.
