Both the Ashlands and Misterton Church of England First Schools in Crewkerne have been enjoying the challenge of embedding their Super Six Christian Values across this new academic year benefitting from the positive focus these values bring into our everyday lives across our personal, social and academic learning.
To bring our first year with our new values and vision to a celebratory close the Federation chose to hold a ‘Celebration Day’ at Ashlands immersing the children from both schools in a day of fun tasks and activities engaging them with each of our Super Six Values of Trust, Respect, Friendship, Forgiveness, Compassion and Aspiration all rooted in Love.
A massive picnic lunch brought the children all together between taking part in a range of activities including taking on climbing wall and forest school rope challenges, inflatable crazy golf, cooking and friendship bracelet making. Local Willow Artist Jo Sadler was also on site to work with the children to create a Willow Heart to represent the love element of the Federation’s values.
There are still a few places available at both schools for September, look at all the fun activities we get up to! Please contact either school office to arrange a visit and come and have a look around.
